Animation Desk Classic - Create Animated Videos App Reviews

This would be a five star review if it gave you the ability to add layers. Without that feature, this version is too simple to do anything productive. Hopefully the next upgrade will have layers.

This app is the best animating app I have seen! Since the last time I used it, it has improved a lot and easier to use.

From what I can see, there was some work done here. But the main sketchpad jumps all over my desktop, the pens constantly bleed color, and the export constantly crashes. Im using 10.7.5 ...

this "app" does not let me go to another page its pretty much drawing one picture

I had a earlier version of this application that worked really well and I loved it. I deleted it because I needed to make space on my computer. I wanted to download it again for a project I needed to do. I was really disappointed when I opend the app and saw nothing but the tabs on the side. I closed it and opened it again and this time the sketchpad followed my mouse around the screen, which made it impossible to draw anything. When I finally got it to stay still I tried to use the stamp tool, it also followed my mouse making it impossible to do anything. Im very disappointed in this update.

I was sorting through some files and tried to open one I was working on a little while back to check it out in Animation Desk, but to my surprise, the window would not stop following my mouse no matter what I did. If you are looking at these reviews Kdan Mobile, this is s show stopper! The app is completely useless like this. You need to fix it.

This is the absoulue worst $10 I’ve ever spent. The desk you draw on follows the mouse around.

So i spent a few hours animating so i tried to add audio but… how? It is great for a beginner (the animating process) But i cant add audio! I never use this app on my mac i use it on my iPad alot easier, And whats the difference of all the tools? they all look the same exept the crayon when i use it theres a few dots in a line. who would use that? And last but not least… Stamps urrg the stamps!I try to make a small circle for the head outline but its far from small,the app would be alot better if you made the audio like how it is on iPad, Added DIFFERENT tools that are useful, and added the ability to make smaller shapes with the stamp.

I downloaded this app to learn how to do animated storyboards for a project I was working on. It didn’t take too long for me to figure out how to comprehend and use the app efficiently. I’ve been able to learn more about animation and produce a few interesting storyboards with Animation Desk. I haven’t had any issues with crashing and every project I’ve saved works each time I use the app. Overall, I really like the app.

This application is a great way to get into animation but there are so many flaws about this app, may I list some if I may. 1. When I change my paint size or my light color, if I lift my hand of the mouse it will then change from the one I wanted to the position my mouse was at. 2. When I draw, same as if i was changing my paint size, another paint strok will be added, these are just some of the things that are bad with it, like the duplicate buttons and more. Listen just fix these things because I can see you guys think this thing is flawless, dont just take my word for it, take the others, and fix this fast, also make it so you can download as a mp4 or a video so I can make a video out of it, and you all need to think of things to make it better, always, Please listen to all of us. This app is by far the best free animation software out there. I downloaded it recently and it works great with tablets. One thing that really bugs me out though is that it crashes unexpectedly while I am working on a project. This happens a FEW times and when it happens, it actually manages to save my work. When I opened up my saved project, there was a frame that appeared empty on the project pane, but ended up having saved my drawing on it…..HOWEVER it that same frame created an annoying flash when I played the whole project. Even though this app worries me sometimes, I RECOMMEND it for begginers and anyone interested in 2D animation.

This app provides the oppotunity to create some visually stunning animation. However, that visually stunning animation won’t matter if the app keeps quitting at random times. Sometimes it properly saves my animation, sometimes it won’t. Either way, it is irritating for all my hard work to go to waste all thanks to a bug in the system. Other than that, this is a really useful application.

Great for getting your animation itch out but I havn’t tried working on a serious project with this program yet. I’m not if sure it can handle it anyway. I recommend this for a biginner (of course) because this program is not intense. User friendly.

Crashes all the time and I’ve lost the same drawing about three times now. Good for beginniers because at least you get pratice in...

Dont bother, this application quits.

The app keeps moving the entire window half off my screen everytime I move my cursor to the top bar (ie, to hit the “undo” arrow). Clicking on the app anywhere outside of the draw boundy results in the app randomly moving to that location, and only sometimes does the button I’m trying to use activate instead. Really confused, unworkable like this.
